The competition for Swanage Carnival Queen and Princesses will be held on Friday 4th April at 7.00 pm at Swanage Bay View Caravan Park.
   
 The Carnival Queen is school year 9 to 21 years old  
 Princess 1 is school year 5 and 6 
 Princess 2 is school year 7 and 8

The 2007  winners were: 
Queen
Hannah Foster aged 15 years

Princesses
Isabelle Hobbs aged 11 years
Mary Flemming aged 12 years

 

The winners receive prize money or a trip to Euro Disney as well dresses, crowns, flowers with an option to purchase their tiiaras and sashes. 

The queen and princess have pride of place in the carnival procession and they work every day during carnival week attending many of the events, collecting money and handing out prizes.

Last years the girls received a first at Christchurch and Bishopstoke Carnivals.

This year the Queen will receive entry into UK Carnival Queen competition at Disneyland, Paris which is the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th January 2009 and the Princesses will receive £50 each
 
The Queen and princesses also be attend several other events in the area during the summer.
