This year's theme is
Going for Carnival Gold
Once again, in 2011, Swanage Carnival Procession lived up
to expectations and was the best on the South Coast with a record number of entries!
Our procession co-ordinators are putting together a fantastic show for 2012 so keep
checking the website for confirmation of visiting masquerade bands and supporting
acts.
The walking entries, floats and marching bands will make up a colourful, noisy
and vibrant display winding their way along the seafront on a 2.5 mile route, watched
by thousands of revellers lining the streets.
Prior to the procession the crowds
will be entertained by a variety of performers, interesting motorised vehicles,
bands, clowns (and who knows what else!) to get the party started!
As the 2.5 mile route winds its way along the sea front and through
the town the streets will be lined with thousands of foot stamping, hand clapping
revellers caught up in the magic of Carnival!
