Swanage Carnival Procession

Sunday 1st August 2010Swanage Carnival Procession

This year's theme is "Fantasies and Fairytales"
Swanage Carnival Procession

It’s colourful, it’s noisy, it’s vibrant and Swanage Carnival Procession is one of the best on the South Coast.

The route is 2.5 miles long and meanders along the sea front, through the town and back to Sandpit Field.

The theme this year is Fantasies and Fairytales! Be there – be amazed!

Our line up for 2010 is spectacular – 8 bands, marching and playing a diverse range of music including Pipes, Jazz, Latin American, Military, Pop, Rock n roll and not one but two Masquerade Costumed Bands!
The “Fantasies and Fairytales” theme will ensure some ingenious and very hilarious floats and costumes with themed tableaux, walkers in fancy dress and dancers performing between the bands.

Sonny and Rainbow will be clowning around all day and pre-procession entertainment will be provided by Majorette Troupes, the UK Beach Buggie Club, The Christchurch Cruiser Club and the famous Bournemouth Carnival Band will be back with their hilarious and unique style of entertainment!
