A pub crawl with a difference. Teams of two race around the pubs of Swanage sipping a pint of their best ale at each establishment.

Great fun to take part, great fun to watch. 

Yard Of Ale Wednesday

The tradition of the Yard of Ale dates back to the 17th Century. The current world record, set in 1985, is five seconds!
Come along and attempt to down a yard of ale, about two and half pints as quickly as you can.

 

 

Treasure Hunts All week
There is a car and foot treasure hunt during Swanage Carnival week. The car treasure hunt will take you to many interesting places around Purbeck whilst the foot treasure hunt can lead you all over Swanage. A great way to learn something new about the area. There are prizes for the winners.

What's Not My Line All week
This must be one of the oldest events in Carnival! A chance to window shop around Swanage. The aim of the game is to find an item in the participating shop window that is not sold by the shop. Its harder than you think and the shop owners are getting more cunning each year.
Entry forms will be available from the Swanage Regatta and Carnival caravan on the sea front.  50p a form.

Country Sports Friday, 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm - Sandpit Field
Consider yourself a bit of an all-round sporty type?
Then come to test you skills at our ‘Country Sports Field Event’ Nothing could be easier!

Open to both Children and Adults, Six simple sporting challenges - gain points for each event - and the person with the overall highest number of points in each category will be declared the winner.

The sports are: Boule, Balloon burst, Target Frisbee, Quoits, Ball in a bucket and Lobbing the Welly into rings.

Yep. We even have Bingo.
The Bingo Crew are raring to go for another fun filled season. Based at Swanage Bay View Caravan Park, we restart for Easter on Tuesday 7th April at 8pm and run weekly sessions every Tuesday throughout the season until October.
During Carnival Week we also hold a session in the Marquee on Monday, so if your looking for a family fun night out come and join us and maybe you’ll be shouting BINGO!
Over the years the Bingo Crew has helped to raise many thousands of pounds for Carnival funds.
